POSITION SUMMARY
The Project Coordinator is a senior coordination role responsible for supporting the successful delivery of complex utility construction projects.
The Project Coordinator serves as a key operational link between field execution and project controls, overseeing documentation systems, quality records, and progress tracking. This role requires strong working knowledge of construction workflows, QA/QC processes, and field coordination best practices.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
- Project Execution & Coordination Oversight
- Lead field documentation and coordination systems across project phases, from mobilization through close-out.
- Manage RFIs, submittals, procurement logs, NCRs, and drawing registers.
- Support mobilization logistics and ensure documentation packages meet client and internal requirements.
- Quality & Compliance Tracking
- Coordinate QA/QC records including ITPs, inspection logs, traceability documentation, and turnover packages.
- Work with QA teams, engineers, and field supervisors to align documentation with technical and regulatory standards.
- Participate in audits, milestone reviews, and documentation closeout processes.
- Schedule, Cost & Risk Integration
- Track quantities, field progress, and material readiness to support cost forecasting and schedule tracking.
- Collaborate with project controls to ensure real-time execution data is captured accurately.
- Identify coordination issues, risks, or execution conflicts and escalate to project management.
- Safety Documentation Support
- Ensure field-level safety documentation (e.g., FLRAs, permits, logs) is complete and accessible.
- Integrate safety records into broader project documentation and reporting workflows.
- Participate in project safety reviews and contribute to continuous improvement feedback.
- Mentorship & Team Interface
- Represent project coordination in client, subcontractor, and EPC meetings.
- Contribute to internal documentation reviews, workflow design, and process improvement initiatives.QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS5+ years of coordination or construction support experience in utility, infrastructure, or industrial construction environments.
- Strong understanding of QA/QC documentation, construction workflows, and compliance standards.
- Experience supporting field teams in document readiness, change tracking, and execution alignment.
- Proficient in Excel and construction platforms such as Procore, Primavera P6, SAP, or Viewpoint.
- Diploma or degree in construction, engineering technology, or project management.PMP or equivalent certification is an asset.
- Strong communication, coordination, and task management skills.
- Willingness to work at active or remote project sites in a field-facing coordination role.
