Senior Project Manager

Our client is one of the largest and most respected General Contractors in the United States, delivering over $1 billion in annual revenue and recognized for excellence across healthcare, higher education, K-12, and life sciences construction.

With a strong backlog of landmark projects throughout Northern California, they are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead complex, high-profile projects across the San Francisco Bay Area.

The Role

As a Senior Project Manager, you will provide overall leadership, strategic direction, and operational oversight for large-scale construction projects from preconstruction through closeout. You will manage project teams, cultivate client relationships, oversee financial performance, and ensure successful project delivery while maintaining the highest standards of safety, quality, and client satisfaction.

• Projects will include:HCAI/OSHPD healthcare facilities and medical campuses
• Higher education and K-12 educational facilities
• Life sciences, laboratory, and research facilities
• Complex occupied campus environments
• Ground-up and major renovation projects ranging from $50M to $500M+

Key Responsibilities

• Lead all phases of project execution from preconstruction through final completion.
• Manage project financials, including budgets, forecasting, cost control, change management, and profitability.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with owners, architects, consultants, and trade partners.
• Provide leadership, mentorship, and development for Project Managers, Project Engineers, and field teams.
• Oversee project schedules and ensure milestones are achieved.
• Identify and mitigate project risks while driving proactive solutions.
• Ensure compliance with contract requirements, HCAI regulations, safety standards, and quality expectations.
• Partner with preconstruction teams during pursuit and planning phases.
• Support business development initiatives and help expand client relationships throughout the region.
• Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related discipline.10+ years of progressive construction management experience with a General Contractor.
• Demonstrated success managing large-scale healthcare, education, or life sciences projects.
• Strong understanding of HCAI/OSHPD requirements and California construction regulations preferred.
• Experience managing projects exceeding $50M in value.
• Exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in fast-paced project environments.
• Strong commercial acumen with expertise in budgeting, forecasting, and contract administration.
