Quantitative Python DeveloperLocation: IndiaWe are seeking a Quantitative Python Developer to join a high-performance technology and trading environment, working closely with quantitative researchers, traders, and technology teams to build scalable data-driven solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain Python-based applications, research frameworks, and data pipelines that support quantitative research, analytics, and trading activities.
- Design, build, and optimize large-scale data processing systems handling structured and unstructured datasets.
- Collaborate with quantitative researchers, traders, risk teams, and engineers to deliver production-grade solutions.
- Build tools and services for data analysis, visualization, reporting, and workflow automation.
- Develop APIs, microservices, and backend systems supporting research and business-critical applications.
- Improve the performance, reliability, and scalability of existing platforms and infrastructure.
- Work with cloud and on-premise environments to support compute-intensive workloads.
- Contribute to software architecture, testing, deployment, and operational excellence.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, Engineering, or a related quantitative discipline.
- 3+ years of professional software development experience.
- Strong proficiency in Python with experience building production-grade applications.
- Hands-on experience with data analysis libraries such as Pandas, Polars, NumPy, or similar tools.
- Experience developing data pipelines, ETL processes, and large-scale data systems.
- Strong understanding of Linux environments and software engineering best practices.
- Experience working with SQL and relational databases.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience within quantitative trading, hedge funds, financial technology, market-making, asset management, or capital markets environments.
- Exposure to financial markets, quantitative research, risk analytics, or trading systems.
- Experience with cloud technologies such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.
- Familiarity with FastAPI, Django, Flask, or other backend frameworks.
- Knowledge of distributed computing, containerization, Docker, or Kubernetes.
- Experience working with large-scale datasets and performance optimization.
- Exposure to machine learning, statistical modelling, or quantitative analytics.
