The Cold Mill and associated areas were never utilized to itscapacity or potential.
Two foil rolling mills have been added and with this, the Unit is planned toreach a rolled volume of 18kT of foil products in next two years.
In the above context, the presentfocus of this position is to bring in a culture change in Cold Mill and other old machinery areas,ramp up the Foil Volumes through stabilization of Rolling Mills processes, establish newcustomers and products while retaining the FRP volumes as per Plan.
Multi-skilling has beenintroduced in new foil machinery.
There is an objective to extend this to Cold Mill and other areasand rationalize manpower in existing lines.
Job Challenges: Ramp up of new installations in Foil Twin Chamber furnace, Foil Mills, etc.
To achieve full capacity of foil volumes from the Rolling
Mill system Rolling of Light Gauge and Ultra-light gauge foil at Foil Mills
Optimise the passschedules and rolling practices in the cold mill, foil mills & Roll Grinder to maximize productivity &quality.
Standardise processes to get certified for supp lies to global customers in Foil in Bareand Cigarette Laminate segments Training of fresh and existing operatives to operate the new& modified equipments Establish, monitor & control the SMPs for equipment & utilities in
Rolling Stream.
Introduction of multi-skilling and multi-functioning amongst the operatives
Changing the mindset of workforce from obstruction mentality to growth mentality Establishmentof World Class Manufacturing Model, ERP, Integrated Quality, Environment & Safety
Management systems Reduce cost of production in major areas such as Recovery, Specific
Power consumption, Rolling Oil etc.
Cater to Marketing needs of reliability and transparency in
Production processes Monitor & ensure safety & environmental standard in all operationalactivities of the department.
