Intern - Investments

We are seeking a talented individual to join our investments team at Mercer. This role will be based in Gurgaon. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.

Intern – Investments

You will be a part of the Investments group that provides a broad range of investment consulting and advisory services, working closely with the Mercer Investment Consultants across multiple geographies. The role will focus on building a web platform to provide Mercer clients with easy access to performance reporting for DB client segment.

Web platform will automate production of report deliverables from source performance data, thereby eliminating inefficiencies of working with spreadsheets and transferring data between systems. This role is required to support the SME in developing digital platforms for clients. The role would require you to have technical expertise in web development and Python to develop technical solutions for the clients.

In this role, you will work closely with the technical expert to design the solution. This is a challenging and rewarding opportunity for a highly motivated individual with a passion for investments, strong analytical skills, and a desire to work in a dynamic, collaborative team environment.

We will count on you for

• Strong Python programming skills and experience building web apps and REST APIs using FastAPI/Flask
• Front-end development experience with ReactJS (SPA development experience with focus on component design and state management is sufficient)
• Understanding of how to integrate third-party APIs using Python
• Experience with Pandas for data manipulation/transformation
• Experience with using Python to programmatically generate Word docs/PPT files (e.g. using python-pptx)
• Understanding of SDLC and familiarity with version control using Git, testing practices, and basic deployment knowledge
• A graduate degree in Engineering with excellent academic track record
• Strong logical and analytical skills with attention to details
• Exceptional interpersonal, organizational, business communication, and time management skills
