Job Summary

The Waiter/Waitress is responsible for providing professional and friendly food and beverage service to guests while ensuring a memorable dining experience. The role requires the ability to work efficiently in a busy operation and fast-paced island resort environment while maintaining high service standards in line with hotel and IHG Hotels & Resorts brand standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Welcome and assist guests in a warm and professional manner.
• Present menus, provide recommendations, and take food and beverage orders accurately.
• Serve food and beverages according to hotel service standards.
• Ensure guest satisfaction by responding promptly to requests and concerns.
• Maintain cleanliness and proper setup of tables, service stations, and restaurant areas.
• Coordinate with kitchen and bar teams to ensure smooth and timely service.
• Handle billing procedures and POS transactions accurately.
• Upsell menu items, promotions, and special offers to guests.
• Maintain excellent grooming and hygiene standards at all times.
• Follow food safety, hygiene, and health & safety procedures.
• Support opening, closing, and daily operational duties of the outlet.
• Work effectively under pressure during busy operational hours while maintaining service quality and professionalism.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Previous experience in Food & Beverage service within a hotel, resort, or restaurant preferred.
• Experience in busy operations or high-volume service environments is highly preferred.
• Familiarity with IHG Hotels & Resorts standards is an advantage.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Customer-focused attitude with excellent service skills.
• Ability to multitask and remain organized in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of POS systems is an advantage.
• Flexible to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
• Fluent in English; additional languages are an advantage.
