Role Overview
This role is for a meticulous accounting professional based in Mumbai who can manage the organization’s day-to-day financial records and broader accounting workflow. The ideal candidate should be well-versed in financial accounting, statutory obligations, and end-to-end books management. Experience gained in a CA firm is preferred.
What You Will Do
- Oversee complete accounting activities and keep the books of accounts accurate and up to date.
- Compile monthly, quarterly, and yearly financial statements along with MIS reports.
- Track accounting performance by location, including profitability and the use of funds.
- Assist the Finance Manager and CFO by providing financial analysis for planning and decisions.
- Take care of compliance requirements related to GST, TDS, income tax, ROC, and other statutory filings.
- Work with auditors, consultants, banks, and government or regulatory bodies as needed.
- Support statutory audits, internal audits, and tax scrutiny processes.
- Make sure returns are filed on time and compliance documents are properly maintained.
- Manage payables, receivables, reconciliations, and ledger review.
- Maintain strong accounting controls and organized supporting records.
- Handle vendor payouts, customer receipt tracking, and banking-related tasks.
- Use Zoho effectively and help improve accounting workflows and financial controls.
What We’re Looking For
- Solid grasp of accounting fundamentals, finance, and regulatory compliance.
- Practical experience in managing complete books of accounts.
- Good analytical ability along with reporting and coordination skills.
- Ability to work on your own and collaborate across different teams.
- Prior exposure to a CA firm is desirable.
- Minimum education preferred: graduate degree in commerce, finance, or accounting.
- Postgraduate qualifications such as MBA in Finance, M.Com, or CA Inter will be an advantage.
- Relevant experience of 2 to 3 years in finance or accounting roles.
Systems and Tools
Working knowledge of Zoho is preferred.

- Oversee vendor payments, customer collections, and banking activities.
- Use Zoho and help streamline accounting processes and controls.
Requirements
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, finance, and compliance.
- Hands-on experience in managing full books of accounts.
- Analytical thinking with solid reporting and coordination skills.
- Ability to work independently and across departments.
- Prior experience in a CA firm is preferred.
- Graduate degree in Commerce, Finance, or Accounting is the minimum qualification.
- Postgraduate qualifications like MBA Finance, M.Com, or CA Inter are an added advantage.
- 2 to 3 years of relevant experience in finance and accounting.
- Working knowledge of Zoho is preferred.
