We Are Looking For a hands-on and people-focused Operations Manager who leads the daily operations of our Madrid distribution center.
In this role, you are responsible for ensuring a safe, efficient and customer-focused operation while developing a high-performing team and driving continuous improvement initiatives.THIS ROLE INCLUDES DIRECT LEADERSHIP AND DEVELOPMENT OF A TEAM OF APPROXIMATELY 30 EMPLOYEES ACROSS OPERATIONS.What is your role? /
Your Responsibilities
- Your Specific Tasks Include
- Lead all operational activities within the distribution center, ensuring service, quality, productivity and safety targets are achieved.
- Translate company strategy into operational plans and priorities for the local operation.
- Prepare and manage operational budgets, resource planning and workforce requirements in line with business objectives.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on efficiency, quality, customer service and cost optimization.
- Monitor and report on operational KPIs, identifying opportunities and implementing corrective actions where needed.
- Ensure compliance with safety, quality and operational standards and promote a strong safety culture across the site.
- Lead, coach and develop team leaders and employees, creating a culture of accountability, engagement and continuous learning.
- Evaluate team capabilities, identify development opportunities and implement talent development initiatives within the area of responsibility.
- Collaborate closely with Supply Chain, Transport, Customer Service, HR and other stakeholders to ensure smooth end-to-end operations.
- Support operational change initiatives and contribute to the successful implementation of new processes, systems and ways of working.
- Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and proactively address operational challenges and business needs.
- Develop tactical plans to optimize resources, warehouse capacity and operational performance while maintaining excellent customer service levels.
- Ensure inventory accuracy, operational reliability and effective execution of daily warehouse processes.
- Who are you? / We Are Looking For Candidates With:
- Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Operations Management or equivalent through experience.5-10 years of experience in warehouse, logistics or operations management.
- Proven experience leading operational teams in a distribution, logistics or supply chain environment.
- Strong people leadership skills with experience coaching and developing teams.
- Experience managing operational KPIs, budgets and performance improvement initiatives.
- Analytical skills to evaluate operational data and performance metrics and translate insights into actions.
- Experience working in a matrix organization and collaborating across functions.
Knowledge of B2B logistics and next-day delivery operations is a strong advantage.
Continuous improvement mindset with experience in Lean, operational excellence or process optimization.
Fluent in Spanish and English.
