Hiring AgencyRevenue - Agency 16Location: Lincoln, NEHiring Rate$21.374Job PostingJR2026-00027166 Fiscal Compliance Analyst (Open)Applications No Longer Accepted On (If no date is displayed, job is posted as open until closed):06-29-2026Job Description**The Department does NOT sponsor Science, Technology, Engineering & Mathematics (STEM) Optional Practical Training (OPT) (Form I-983) or non-immigrant work visas for these positions.****This is an in office position only.**Under immediate to general supervision, searches, compiles, summarizes, reviews, cross-checks, and analyzes records and data related to tax filings, financial transactions, reimbursement claims, and/or related operations of an organization or business entity for compliance with established mandates.
Provides technical assistance to clients, such as vendors, claimants, contractors, taxpayers, or the general public, about the regulations, processes, forms, and procedures of documenting transactions or cost/claim reimbursements and processing tax returns or filing summaries and reports with the appropriate agency; performs related work as assigned.
Job Duties Include Conduct on-site and/or in-office reviews of transactions, records, tax returns, or refund claims to ensure compliance with tax regulations, agreements, or other criteria governing documentation, record keeping and reporting or eligibility requirements for assigned tax program.
Processes returns or prepares work papers, spreadsheets, or review summaries to document work and support decisions or recommendations. Contacts taxpayers to request records of information or to explain process and requirements. Respond to taxpayer requests for information and explanations regarding assigned tax programs.
Document relevant facts, information, results, and recommendations through reports and data bases. Compute Nebraska adjustments for individual income tax. Discuss findings with Revenue professionals regarding information gathered or examined to resolve issues or make recommendations.
