Job Overview
The Senior Finance Manager specializing in Government Accounting is a vital part of the GE Aerospace Corporate team. In this role, you will serve as the recognized expert in handling Corporate government submissions, including Forward Pricing and Incurred Cost items. You will also support the Home Office Disclosure Statement and assist in various internal projects as needed.
This position emphasizes ensuring adherence to the Cost Accounting Standards (CAS) and Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR).
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and refine strategies for cost recovery and disclosed accounting practices, ensuring compliance and enhancing processes.
- Support and facilitate Corporate Home Office Forward Pricing, Incurred Cost Submissions, and relevant audits.
- Maintain and revise Disclosure Statements while supporting related audits.
- Assess complex CAS compliance situations, helping to identify resolutions and impacts for the business.
- Enhance business processes to align with CAS and FAR requirements, including DFARS and other applicable regulations.
- Collaborate with external government auditors and internal teams for effective audit support.
- Champion lean transformation projects aimed at improving operational efficiency and value.
- Encourage a culture of continuous learning, enhancing overall business acumen within the team.
- Promote compliance awareness through clear communication of requirements to all stakeholders, from team members to senior management.
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree from an accredited institution or high school diploma/GED with a minimum of 6 years in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field.
- Extensive experience with a major defense contractor, DCMA, or DCAA.
Desired Characteristics
- In-depth expertise in Government Accounting, with hands-on experience in CAS, CASB Disclosure Statements, Forward Pricing, and Incurred Cost at a CAS 403 Corporate Home Office.
- Proven ability to interact effectively with senior DCMA and DCAA staff.
- Strong background in cost accounting relevant to U.S. Government contracts.
- Exceptional communication skills, adaptable to the audience's needs.
- Experience applying lean principles in transactional settings focusing on continuous improvement.

Compensation
The base pay range for this position is $137,000.00 - $183,000.00 USD Annually, with the potential for an annual discretionary bonus based on your base salary. This position is eligible for comprehensive benefits including healthcare coverage, retirement plans, tuition assistance, and more.
