- Cybersecurity Trainee & Intern (INDIA) We are seeking a highly motivated and passionate student or recent graduate for an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience as an Information Security Intern specializing in Penetration Testing and Application Security at COE Security, a leading cybersecurity services company.
- This opportunity is structured as follows: Complementary Training Period (First 12 Months): This is an unpaid training period where you will receive comprehensive guidance and practical exposure to the core practices of penetration testing, application security, and information security.
- During this time, we expect your full availability to ensure maximum learning and development.
- If you are unable to prove your capabilities during this training, you will have the option to extend your training for another 6 months to further improve your skills.
- Minimum Skills Required for Training: Familiarity with
- Burp Suite for application security testing.
- Basic knowledge of other tools such as
- Nmap ,
- OWASP ZAP , and
- Metasploit . Understanding of the
- OWASP Top 10 vulnerabilities . Basic knowledge of technologies such as
- HTTP protocols ,
- SQL injection ,
- XSS , andsecure coding practices . A fundamental understanding ofpenetration testing processes and methodologies.
- Internship Period (Next 6 Months): Upon successfully completing the training period and demonstrating your potential, you will transition to a paid internship.
- During this phase, you will work on real-world projects, such as conducting security assessments, performing vulnerability analyses, developing reports on security findings, and working with development teams to remediate identified vulnerabilities.
- Full-Time Role Consideration: After completing the 12-month program based on your performance and contributions, you will be encouraged to apply for a full-time position with COE Security.

Responsibilities
- Assist with security assessments: Support security professionals in conducting various application security assessments, including vulnerability scanning, penetration testing, static/dynamic analysis, and manual code reviews.
- Security research: Conduct research on emerging application security threats, vulnerabilities, and attack vectors, contributing to the companys knowledge base.
- Tool evaluation: Evaluate and compare different application security tools and technologies, providing recommendations based on their effectiveness and suitability.
- Vulnerability analysis: Analyze identified vulnerabilities to understand their potential impact and exploitability.
- Documentation: Assist in creating and maintaining security documentation, including reports, presentations, and knowledge base articles.
- Automation: Explore opportunities to automate security tasks and processes, improving efficiency and scalability.
- Learn and apply secure coding practices: Gain hands-on experience with secure coding principles and techniques, applying them to real-world scenarios.
- Industry event participation (optional): Opportunity to attend and participate in industry security conferences and workshops.
Qualifications
- Currently pursuing or completed a Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
- Demonstrated interest in application security through projects, coursework, or extracurricular activities.
- Basic understanding of web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and common web frameworks.
- Familiarity with at least one programming language (e.g., Python, Java, C++, Go). Basic understanding of networking concepts and security protocols.
- Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong work ethic and a willingness to learn in a fast-paced environment.
