About the Role
Our client is currently hiring for a dedicated and reliable Warehouse Helper to join their team. The Warehouse Helper will be responsible for supporting the handling of goods when they come in and out, maintaining stock, ensuring goods are stored correctly, and keeping the warehouse clean and organized. Job Responsibilities
- Assist in the unloading of incoming shipments and verify the accuracy of delivery.
- Prepare and package outgoing shipments, ensuring accuracy and proper labeling.
- Coordinate with delivery drivers and logistics personnel for timely dispatch.
- Maintain accurate inventory levels by conducting regular stock counts and updating records.
- Ensure goods are stored in their designated locations and organized systematically.
- Monitor stock levels and report any discrepancies or shortages to the Warehouse Manager.
- Ensure that all goods are stored safely and securely to prevent damage or loss.
- Organize the warehouse space to optimize efficiency and accessibility.
- Label and categorize items for easy identification and retrieval.
- Maintain a clean and orderly warehouse environment.
- Dispose of waste materials and packaging appropriately.
- Perform routine maintenance checks on warehouse equipment and report any issues.
- Assist with periodic inventory audits and cycle counts.
- Support other departments with material handling and logistics as needed.
- Perform any other duties as assigned by the Warehouse Manager or Supervisor.
Qualifications and Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in a warehouse or logistics environment is preferred but not required.
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) and stand for extended periods.
- Basic computer skills for inventory management and record-keeping.
- Good organizational and time-management skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Valid driver's license may be required.
- Forklift certification is a plus but not mandatory.
