Junior Reasoning Systems Researcher

The Role

You will work on the reasoning layer: how the system turns an encoded domain and a live case into a grounded, cited, defensible decision. This is research that ships. You will sit close to the architecture, work directly with the CPTO, and see your work reach real regulated use.

Grounded reasoning – anchoring frontier-model reasoning in an encoded domain so conclusions follow from formal meaning, not patterns in text.

Verification and proof – methods that make every conclusion traceable to the rule it rests on, with a symbolic layer holding the neural layer accountable.

Multi-agent reasoning – how specialised reasoners cooperate, challenge each other, and converge on a defensible determination.

Evaluation – measuring accuracy, citation precision, and hallucination honestly using synthetic and adversarial cases as continuous infrastructure.

Simulation – extending the world model toward projection and scenario testing, reasoning over cases before they are real.
