Join our growing, high-performing Financial Institutions Coverage (FIC) team in Singapore as we continue to expand our regional presence and deliver innovative solutions to our clients. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on exposure to the financial institutions sector across Asia Pacific, supporting the execution of regional strategy and business initiatives.
As an Intern within the Financial Institutions Coverage team, you will work closely with regional management and bankers across multiple markets, supporting strategic analysis, business planning and client development initiatives covering banks, insurers, securities firms, asset managers and other non-bank financial institutions.
You will gain valuable exposure to banking, global markets, capital markets and transaction banking products, while contributing to regional business development and cross-border collaboration initiatives.

Job Responsibilities
- Support the APAC Financial Institutions Coverage team in executing regional strategic priorities and business initiatives across Asia Pacific.
- Work closely with the APAC Head of Financial Institutions Coverage to analyze business performance, identify trends, and develop data-driven insights to support strategic decision-making.
- Assist in the preparation of management presentations, business updates, strategy papers, client materials, and senior stakeholder presentations.
- Conduct in-depth sector, client, and market analysis on financial institutions including banks, insurers, securities firms, asset managers, and other non-bank financial institutions, identifying emerging trends and business opportunities.
- Partner with regional FIC bankers across various APAC markets to support local business plans, client opportunities, and revenue initiatives, helping teams achieve business objectives.
- Assist in gathering, consolidating, and analyzing business data, including client pipelines, revenues, wallet opportunities, and regional performance metrics.
- Support cross-border business development initiatives by coordinating with product partners across Corporate Banking, Global Markets, Transaction Banking, and Capital Markets.
- Monitor market developments, regulatory trends, and strategic developments affecting financial institutions across the region and summarize key implications for internal stakeholders.
- Support the origination process through client research, preparation of briefing materials, meeting notes, and opportunity tracking.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders and regional teams to improve reporting, business management, and communication across the APAC FIC franchise.
- Assist with ad-hoc analytical, administrative, and project-related tasks as required.
Job Requirements
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Banking & Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business Administration, Data Analytics, or a related discipline.
- Strong interest in financial institutions, banking, capital markets, and the broader financial services industry.
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with the ability to synthesize data into meaningful insights and presentations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel, with the ability to prepare clear and professional presentations.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively across diverse teams and cultures.
- Self-driven, highly organized, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and willingness to take ownership of assigned workstreams.
- Collaborative team player with a strong learning mindset and curiosity about regional financial markets and institutions.
