Job Description

The Opportunity

We are seeking an ambitious Investor Relations Intern to join our Sydney team. This is an excellent opportunity for a university student or recent graduate interested in capital markets, investment banking, equity markets and corporate finance.

The successful candidate will gain direct exposure to ASX-listed companies, investor engagement strategies, capital raisings and institutional investor relations while working alongside experienced capital markets professionals.

Key Responsibilities

Investor Relations Support

• Assist in preparing investor presentations, company profiles and investment summaries.
• Support listed company clients with investor communication initiatives.
• Coordinate investor meetings, roadshows and management introductions.
• Maintain investor databases and CRM systems.
• Assist with investor targeting and outreach campaigns.

Capital Markets Research

• Research ASX-listed companies, industry sectors and market developments.
• Monitor capital raisings, IPOs, placements and corporate transactions.
• Prepare briefing notes on companies, investors and industry trends.
• Assist with due diligence and transaction support activities.

Investor Engagement

• Help identify and profile institutional investors, family offices and sophisticated investors.
• Support the execution of investor roadshows across Australia and Asia.
• Assist with follow-up communications and investor feedback collection.
• Participate in client meetings and investor discussions where appropriate.

Business Development Support

• Assist in preparing marketing materials and mandate proposals.
• Support the Spark Plus team in identifying new corporate opportunities.
• Help maintain records of client interactions and transaction activity.

Skills & Experience

Preferred

• Currently studying Commerce, Finance, Economics, Business or a related discipline.
• Strong interest in financial markets, investing and corporate finance.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong analytical and research abilities.
• High attention to detail and organisational skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
• Ability to work both independently and within a team environment.

Hours
