Develop and deliver undergraduate courses in Tourism Guidance, Heritage Interpretation, and related areas using innovative, student-centered, and experiential teaching approaches.
Contribute to the design, review, and continuous enhancement of the Tourism Guidance curriculum in alignment with national priorities, industry needs, and international academic standards.
Conduct high-quality research in tourism and publish in reputable, peer-reviewed academic journals.
Apply and demonstrate proficiency in qualitative and quantitative research methodologies in both teaching and research activities.
Engage in interdisciplinary research and teaching initiatives across the College and the University.
Seek external research funding and contribute to funded research projects relevant to tourism, heritage, and cultural sustainability.
Establish and maintain partnerships with tourism authorities, cultural institutions, museums, heritage sites, and industry stakeholders to support student internships, field training, and applied learning.
Supervise and mentor students in academic advising, research projects, and professional development within the tourism and heritage sectors.
Represent the University at national and international conferences, academic forums, and professional tourism and heritage organizations.
Participate actively in college and university governance through committee work and academic service.
Contribute to community engagement initiatives that promote cultural heritage awareness, sustainable tourism practices, and societal impact.
Remain current with developments in tourism studies, heritage interpretation, and pedagogy, integrating emerging knowledge into teaching and curriculum design. A PhD in Tourism Studies, Tourism Guidance, or a closely related discipline from an accredited institution.
Appointment at Assistant or Associate Professor rank, commensurate with qualifications and experience.
A strong record of scholarly publications in reputable, peer-reviewed academic journals.
Demonstrated expertise in qualitative and quantitative research methodologies.
At least one year of university-level teaching experience (for Assistant Professor) or a demonstrated record of teaching, research, and academic service appropriate for Associate Professor rank.
Evidence of effective, innovative, and student-centered teaching practices.
Strong organizational, communication, and collaborative skills.
Commitment to academic excellence, professional development, and community engagement.
Proficiency in both Arabic and English.
