Position Overview

We are looking for a motivated and detail oriented Junior Trader to join our trading desk. This is an entry level role designed for fresh graduates with a strong academic background in Finance, Economics, or a related field who are eager to launch their careers in digital asset trading.

As a Junior Trader, you will work closely with our senior trading team to support the execution of spot and OTC digital asset transactions, develop your understanding of market dynamics, and build foundational skills in risk management and compliance. This role is ideal for candidates who are analytically sharp, meticulous in their work, and have a genuine passion for financial markets and emerging asset classes.

Responsibilities

Trading Support & Execution
Assist senior traders in executing OTC digital asset trades on behalf of institutional and professional clients under direct supervision.
Support the monitoring of open positions, market exposure, and inventory in real time across all trading sessions.
Help provide competitive pricing and quotes for OTC transactions, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail in all trade entries.
Learn to manage principal risk positions and facilitate client orders across multiple digital asset pairs.
Participate in 24/7 trading coverage rotations as required, including scheduled overnight and weekend shifts.
Market Research & Analysis
Apply academic knowledge of financial and economic principles to identify patterns and support market commentary.
Track and analyze price movements, liquidity conditions, and order book data across key digital asset pairs.
Conduct daily market research on digital asset prices, macroeconomic trends, and relevant financial news to support trading decisions.
Prepare detailed market summaries and trade reports for the senior trading team.
Risk & Compliance
Adhere to all applicable UAE virtual asset regulations under VARA, CMA, and other relevant authorities.
Ensure all trading activities are compliant with AML/CFT requirements, KYC standards, and Mid
Chains internal compliance policies.
Maintain precise and accurate trade records, blotters, and reconciliation logs in line with regulatory reporting obligations.
Support the Compliance and Risk teams by flagging and escalating unusual market activity or potential regulatory concerns.
Platform & Operational Support
Provide structured feedback to the technology and product teams to enhance platform features and trading infrastructure.
Participate in the testing and deployment of new trading products, pairs, and platform upgrades.
Support business development by assisting with client-facing data preparation and institutional client research.
Develop a working understanding of order management systems (OMS) and electronic trading platforms.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree (recently awarded or pending graduation) in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
Strong academic track record demonstrating analytical ability and quantitative reasoning.
Basic understanding of financial markets, asset classes, trading mechanics, and economic principles.

Familiarity with cryptocurrency or digital assets is an advantage — a genuine curiosity and willingness to learn is essential.
