Job Purpose
Drive integrated bus station performance by governing readiness, safety, reliability and customerexperience across the network. Align resources, procedures and risks with RTA policies, coordinatingteams, assets and partners, and using operational data and field insight to resolve issues andimplement improvements.
Roles & Accountabilities:
Strategy
- Advise on strategic planning for station performance enhancement and Excellence Filepreparation, integrating customer feedback, audits and benchmarking into initiatives andprojects.
Operations
- Review station operations and readiness against RTA policies, safety standards and strategicobjectives, recommending actions to strengthen compliance, security and service quality.
- Review contingency, crowd and crisis-management plans for bus stations, identifyingoperational risks and recommending mitigation measures and manual updates withconcerned departments.
- Review annual operational and improvement plans and related budgets, providing input onpreparation, follow-up and KPI targets for station readiness, safety, customer experience andcost efficiency.
- Monitor management of bus stations, facilities, staff and customer-information servicesthrough reports and visits, highlighting gaps in security, safety, asset utilization and servicedelivery to responsible managers.
- Review arrival and departure performance, schedule adherence and trip deviations withControl Centers, recommending timetable or resource adjustments and summarizing trendsin periodic reports.
- Assess fare-inspection results and evasion patterns, recommending actions to enhancedevices, procedures and staff deployment for fare compliance.
- Examine Lost and Found statistics and processes via the E-Transport system, recommendingimprovements and coordinating with concerned authorities on recurring issues.
- Inspect tenant compliance and commercial-asset reports for shops and investment spaces,recommending corrective actions on safety, security, cleanliness and contractual adherence.
- Review infrastructure development proposals and progress for bus stations, providing inputon phasing, operational impact and readiness with relevant internal stakeholders.
- Assess preventive and corrective maintenance performance and facilities-service reports(cleaning, pest control, waste, landscaping), escalating repeated deficiencies to Facilities andthe Section Manager.
- Review implementation status of e-ticketing and related smart solutions, consolidatingoperational issues, readiness gaps and user feedback and recommending enhancements.
- Examine training, qualification and performance data for station employees, recommendingtargeted development, coaching, engagement and motivation initiatives to supervisors.
Product / Process Improvement
- Analyze KPIs, customer feedback and operational reports on station readiness, crowd control,safety and service quality, recommending improvement initiatives and monitoring theirimplementation progress.
- Review audit observations, incident investigations and recurring issues, tracking closure ofcorrective actions and recommending systemic preventive improvements to processes andcontrols.
- Review station guideline manuals, operational procedures and service notices with theSection Manager, recommending updates, simplifications and alignment with RTA policiesand awareness programs.
Physical
Working Conditions
- Conduct targeted site visits to stations to validate reports, observe operations, discussimprovements with supervisors and perform related duties assigned by the direct manager.
Education:
Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Transportation Engineering, Business Administration or Operations Management, Master’s Degree in Transport Management or Business Administration.
Experience:9+ years in case of Master's degree (11+ years in case of Bachelor’s degree).
Required Nationality: UAE National Only.
