- Purpose of the Role
- The HR & Administration Manager will head the entire human resource management ecosystem and central office administration functions.
- This role carries complete accountability for transforming traditional personnel management into a modern, high-performance talent strategy that aligns seamlessly with the group's long-term business objectives.
The successful candidate will act as a trusted advisor to senior executive leadership and a dedicated advocate for employees—driving corporate culture, spearheading organizational development, managing regulatory labor compliance, and overseeing cost-effective facilities management to ensure smooth, day-to-day workplace operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic HR Management & Organizational Development
- HR Alignment: Formulate and execute comprehensive HR strategies, internal policies, and standard operating procedures (SOPs) that actively support scalable corporate growth.
- Performance Management: Design, implement, and govern a rigorous KPI and OKR performance evaluation framework tied directly to a clear meritocratic rewards system.
- Talent Acquisition: Build and scale a proactive recruitment pipeline to source, interview, and onboard top-tier executive and operational talent across various business divisions.
- Culture & Engagement: Champion employee engagement programs, leadership development initiatives, and structured succession planning to drive retention and elevate workforce productivity.
- Compensation, Benefits & Industrial Relations
- Payroll & Benefits Administration: Oversee the absolute accuracy of the monthly payroll lifecycle, employee terminal benefits, EPF/ETF compliance, and corporate medical insurance schemes.
- Labor Law & Compliance: Maintain absolute, up-to-date compliance with Sri Lankan labor laws, managing industrial relations, disciplinary inquiries, workplace grievances, and statutory audits to eliminate legal liabilities.
- HR Information Systems (HRIS): Optimize and manage modern HRIS platforms to ensure data-driven reporting on headcount metrics, turnover trends, and manpower budgeting.
- General Administration & Facilities Management
- Office Infrastructure Operations: Oversee central office administrative functions, including facilities maintenance, front-office operations, corporate transport tracking, and workplace safety protocols.
- Procurement & Asset Governance: Direct the procurement of office assets, stationery, and utility services, negotiating cost-effective agreements with vendor networks to manage the administrative OpEx budget.
- Statutory Approvals: Manage external corporate relationships with municipal bodies, utility providers, and government departments to secure ongoing operating licenses and building clearances.

Requirements
- Experience & Leadership Metrics
- Professional Tenure: A minimum of 7 to 10 years of progressive experience in Human Resources and Administration, with at least 3 to 4 years operating in a managerial or senior lead capacity.
- Compliance Expertise: In-depth, functional expertise in Sri Lankan labor laws, industrial court procedures, and factory/office statutory regulations.
- Financial & Analytical Acumen: Proven capability in manpower budgeting, salary benchmarking, administrative cost-control modeling, and utilizing modern HRIS systems.
- Communication Agility: Outstanding interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict-resolution skills, with demonstrated experience advising executive board members.

Qualifications
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, Industrial Psychology, or a related field from a recognized university.
- Professional Credentials: A full professional qualification or national diploma from a recognized institute (such as PQHRM from CIPM Sri Lanka) is highly essential.
- An MBA is a distinct advantage.
