Tessa Nakamura
Hey everyone, Tessa here. We're looking for a sharp Editor for an upcoming dramatic short film in New York. This project is a poignant character study, exploring themes of memory and loss, with a subtly surreal tone. It's a really compelling script with some beautiful visual opportunities.
Your main responsibilities will include assembling footage, incorporating sound design elements (we'll provide the audio, you'll place it), and working closely with the director to shape the narrative. We're open to all experience levels; your eye for storytelling and rhythm is what matters most.
Please have your own editing suite and software, ideally with proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro. A strong reel showcasing your narrative editing work is essential. We're aiming to shoot in early to mid-September, with post-production kicking off shortly after.
It'll likely be about 5-7 days of editing, flexible hours, mostly remote but with some in-person sessions in NYC. We're offering $100-200/day, depending on experience. This is a great opportunity to get involved in a meaningful independent production and add a powerful piece to your portfolio. Looking forward to seeing your work!
