Our client, a well known insurance services company, is looking for a Content Marketing Writer to join their team on an ongoing freelance basis. This role requires you to be onsite in their NYC, Bethlehem, PA or NJ offices 3 times per week.
In this role, the Content Marketing Writer will be responsible for creating and editing content for a variety of marketing and sales channels to maintain continuity, quality, and consistency throughout ongoing campaigns and business priorities.
The ideal candidate is a strong, independent writer who excels at working within established guidelines and collaborating with cross-functional partners. This person should be able to translate complex insurance concepts into clear, compelling content for multiple audiences.
Experience in the insurance industry is preferred, especially with group benefits products such as dental, supplemental health, absence and disability, and life insurance.
-Three to five years of professional content marketing or copywriting experience with experience writing B2B
-Direct experience in the insurance industry is preferred, with a focus on group/workforce benefits such as dental insurance, supplemental health, or related products.
-Strong experience writing for email, web, sales enablement, and marketing materials.
-Proven ability to simplify complex or regulated subject matter without losing accuracy.
-Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills, with strong attention to detail.
-Comfortable working within an established content ecosystem and brand voice.
-Reliable, organized, and responsive in a part-time, deadline-driven environment.
-Experience collaborating with stakeholders across teams and time zones.
-Excellent attention to detail.
-Knowledge of Workfront is a plus; experience with other project management tools is required.
-Highly responsive, with the ability to monitor emails outside of business hours if needed.
-Write, edit, and refine content across multiple channels, including email marketing, social media copy, website content, flyers, print collateral, PowerPoint presentations, and other sales enablement assets.
-Translate group insurance products and value propositions into clear, audience-appropriate messaging (such as brokers, employers, insurance members, dental providers, etc.)
-Support ongoing content initiatives, campaigns, and business requests during the coverage period.
-Collaborate with stakeholders across marketing, sales, and project teams to gather inputs and incorporate feedback.
-Ensure content aligns with brand voice, messaging frameworks, and compliance considerations.
-Proofread and quality-check content for clarity, accuracy, tone, and consistency.
-Manage multiple assignments concurrently within existing workflows and deadlines.
In this position, you may have access to client or customer systems, confidential and/or proprietary information or data, including financial information. This position is onsite and requires you to work closely with other individuals in a collaborative team environment.
