About The Role

Topa Group is partnered with a Chicago based high-end Residential AV Integrator. We are seeking a skilled Residential AV Technician to join our team, specializing in high-end residential projects across the Chicagoland area. This role is ideal for a technician who takes pride in clean, detail-oriented work and has experience delivering premium technology solutions for luxury homes.

You’ll work with cutting-edge audio/video, networking, automation, and control systems in some of Chicago's most exclusive residences.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and service high-end residential AV systems
• Perform rough-in and trim-out for audio, video, networking, and control systems
• Rack building, cable management, and system testing
• Troubleshoot and diagnose AV, control, and network issues
• Work closely with project managers, designers, and other trades on-site
• Maintain clean, organized, and professional job sites
• Provide excellent customer service to discerning homeowners

Required Qualifications

• 3+ years of residential AV installation experience preferred
• Strong knowledge of audio, video, structured wiring, and networking fundamentals
• Ability to read and interpret system drawings and documentation
• Comfortable working independently and as part of a team
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
• Professional appearance and strong communication skills
• Preferred / Bonus Experience
• Experience with Savant and Lutron control systems
• Experience with Cisco or similar networking products
• Familiarity with luxury residential environments and client expectations
• Compensation & Benefits$25–$45/hour, based on experience
