Quality Control - Staging Equipment Technician - Live Event and Audiovisual Industry (Midwest)

Our company is looking to expand our Chicago technical team with a Staging Technician.

Job summary

The Quality Control Staging Equipment Technician will report directly to the location Warehouse Manager and assist in the coordination of warehouse operations for the LSAV Chicago location.

Who you are

• A professional with some experience in the live event industry and/or staging company warehouse operations Organized and forward focused with a desire for advancement
• Team-oriented with the ability to work well with others Physically able to lift upward of 70 pounds unaided
• Job duties:
• Complete daily quality control testing and maintenance of event production staging equipment
• Assist in day-to-day management of the staging department inventory
• Keep detailed records of maintenance
• Function as the staging or scenic technician on event site when needed
• Operate 26’ straight trucks when needed
• Perform maintenance of staging inventory – screens, soft goods, modular scenic elements
• Maintain an organized work and inventory storage area at all times
• Experience: Experience in audiovisual staging for business related live-events
• Skills and abilities:
• Basic Hand tool knowledge and operation skills preferred

Requirements

• Flexibility to work a varied and ever changing schedule, including nights, weekends, and early mornings with some travel
• C-class license or willingness to obtain if needed
