Job/Department
Under general supervision, the Software Developer designs, analyzes, configures, develops, tests, implements, and maintains enterprise software applications and systems that support university advancement, alumni engagement, fundraising, and related administrative operations.
The incumbent will work primarily on Chico State’s Advancement CRM ecosystem, including Ellucian Banner Advancement and Blackbaud Raiser's Edge NXT (RENXT), as well as third-party systems and tools that integrate with these platforms for reporting, analytics, automation, and business operations.
The role provides both short-term technical leadership during the migration from Banner Advancement to Raiser’s Edge NXT and long-term ongoing system development, integration, modernization, and support.
The Incumbents WillLead technical data migration efforts from Banner Advancement to Raiser’s Edge NXT.Design, build, test, and maintain integrations between CRM platforms and campus enterprise systems (e.g., ERP/financial systems, student information systems, identity and access management, Salesforce CRM, data warehouse, and reporting platforms). Develop reports, dashboards, automation workflows, and data governance processes.
Ensure system security, regulatory compliance, and alignment with enterprise architecture standards. Provide technical consultation and guidance to functional stakeholders and leadership. The Software Developer works independently on most day-to-day assignments and collaborates with cross-functional stakeholders to deliver secure, scalable, and maintainable technology solutions.
Equivalent to a bachelor’s degree in a related field and two years of relevant experience. Additional experience which demonstrates acquired and successfully applied knowledge and abilities shown above may be substituted for the required education on a year-for-year basis. An advanced degree in a related field may be substituted for the required experience on a year-for-year basis.
