QA Backend Tester

Our client is looking for a consultant for the following role. Must have a strong Data background.

Backend QA Tester (Healthcare – Data Focus)

We are seeking a Backend QA Tester with strong health plan/payer experience to support data validation efforts as part of a migration from Facets to HealthRules Payor (HealthEdge HRP).

Key Responsibilities

• Perform backend and data testing, ensuring accuracy and integrity of healthcare data
• Validate data migrations and transformations (Facets → HRP)
• Write and execute complex SQL queries for data validation and troubleshooting
• Test and validate APIs and backend integrations
• Validate reporting outputs in Power BI, Tableau, and MicroStrategy
• Work closely with data, development, and business teams in an Agile environment

Required Skills

• 5+ years of QA experience (backend/data-focused)
• Strong experience in health plan/payer systems
• Hands-on with HealthEdge (HRP preferred)
• Advanced SQL skills
• Experience with Snowflake or similar data platforms
• Experience with API testing tools (Postman, etc.)
• Reporting validation experience (Power BI, Tableau, MicroStrategy)
• MUST BE LOCAL TO NYC
• WE ARE NOT SUBCONTRACTING FOR THIS POSITION

Nice to Have

• Experience with Facets to HealthEdge migration
• ETL/data warehousing knowledge
