Contract Game Tester in New Orleans

Position Overview

DAQA us a game quality service provider, focused on player-driven video game development. As a Game Tester, you are a key contributor in identifying game defects as well as providing valuable qualitative feedback on each game you test. Testers are compensated hourly and applicants must be willing to sign a strict non-disclosure agreement (NDA) and join DAQA's Discord community.

Location: New Orleans, LA (In-office with some remote flexibility)

About Us

We are looking for a wide range of people from someone with no experience in QA eager to join in the ranks to experience QA all the way up to Leads who are interested in joining us at DAQA when new positions become available.

With the upcoming projects being unknown, a key feature will be looking for is variety in game knowledge, because being experienced in a game and familiar with it also leads to better testing and feedback. The positions all start as a contractor. In this role, you’ll collaborate with developers and contribute to testing game builds, ensuring functionality and game performance are top-notch.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform detailed functional QA testing across game builds.
• Write clear and concise bug reports with steps to reproduce.
• Work alongside developers to identify, track, and resolve issues.
• Ensure the game meets quality standards before release.
• What We’re Looking For: Proven experience or interest in functional Game QA Testing.
• Strong bug tracking skills with clear, actionable reports.
• Familiarity with a wide variety of game genres Team-oriented with a proactive and detail-driven approach.

Education and Experience

Minimum: A high school diploma or GED.

Preferred

An associate's degree, certificate in a technical field, or equivalent work experience. Experience: Previous experience in video game QA testing, including familiarity with game development cycles, testing methodologies, and bug tracking systems.
