We are seeking a highly motivated Product Lifecycle Management & Walmart Operations Associate to support product commercialization, retail execution, and product data management across key accounts, including Walmart. This role combines Product Lifecycle Management (PLM), retailer item setup, and cross-functional product operations responsibilities.
Position Summary
The Product Lifecycle Management & Walmart Operations Associate will play a critical role in managing products from concept through commercialization and ongoing lifecycle maintenance. The position supports product development, sourcing, sales, operations, licensing, and retail teams to ensure accurate product information, successful product launches, and seamless retailer onboarding.
The ideal candidate has experience working with Walmart supplier systems, understands product master data management, and enjoys operating at the intersection of product development and retail operations.
Key Responsibilities
Product Lifecycle Management (PLM)
- Support the end-to-end product lifecycle from concept, development, launch, maintenance, and discontinuation.
- Maintain product master data, specifications, packaging details, and product attributes across PLM, ERP, and retailer systems.
- Coordinate SKU creation, product setup, and product change management.
- Manage product information including dimensions, weights, materials, packaging, and compliance documentation.
- Support stage-gate product development processes and commercialization milestones.
- Partner with Product Development, Design, Licensing, Sourcing, and Sales teams to ensure product readiness.
- Assist with assortment planning, product rationalization, and lifecycle reporting.
- Maintain accurate product records and documentation throughout the product lifecycle.
Walmart Supplier Operations
- Create, maintain, and update Walmart item records through Supplier One and related Walmart platforms.
- Manage new item onboarding and item maintenance activities.
- Support GTIN/UPC management and retailer-specific product requirements.
- Maintain product attributes, images, case pack information, dimensions, and packaging hierarchies.
- Monitor item approval workflows and resolve setup, content, and compliance issues.
- Generate and analyze Retail Link reports to support item management and retailer initiatives.
- Coordinate with Walmart merchant teams, supplier support teams, and internal stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with Walmart product content and operational requirements.
Product Data & Analytics
- Maintain product information accuracy across all internal and external systems.
- Perform product data audits and quality control reviews.
- Create recurring reports and dashboards using Excel and internal systems.
- Analyze product, sales, inventory, and item setup data to support business decisions.
- Identify opportunities to improve product data quality and operational efficiency.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with Product Development, Sourcing, Operations, Sales, Marketing, Licensing, and Finance teams.
- Coordinate product launch readiness activities across departments.
- Support retailer onboarding, compliance initiatives, and commercialization efforts.
- Participate in process improvement projects related to PLM, product data management, and retailer operations.
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
- 1–3 years of experience supporting Walmart suppliers, retailer item setup, product operations, or product management functions.
- Experience using Walmart Supplier One.
- Retail Link access and basic reporting experience.
- Experience with:
- Item setup and maintenance
- GTIN/UPC management
- Product attributes and content management
- Case pack and packaging hierarchy management
- Product dimensions and specifications
- Retailer compliance requirements
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including:
- VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP
- Pivot Tables
- Data analysis and reporting
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Strong communication and project coordination abilities.
Preferred
- Experience with Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems.
- Experience in consumer products, apparel, accessories, home goods, toys, or licensed merchandise.
- Familiarity with ERP systems and product master data management.
- Experience supporting major retailers in addition to Walmart.
- Understanding of product commercialization and retail operations processes.
Compensation & Benefits
Base Salary
$85,000 – $105,000 annually
Compensation will be based on experience, qualifications, and demonstrated expertise in Product Lifecycle Management, Walmart supplier operations, product data management, and consumer products.
