Overview
Alpha & Omega Freight Carriers LLC. is seeking a highly organized and motivated Transportation Logistics Specialist to support daily freight and carrier operations. In this role, you will coordinate shipments, communicate with drivers and brokers, and help ensure efficient and on-time freight delivery.
This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced transportation environment and enjoys logistics coordination, problem-solving, and operational management.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate and dispatch freight shipments using transportation management systems (TMS) and load boards
- Communicate with drivers, brokers, carriers, and customers regarding shipment schedules and delivery updates
- Monitor freight movements and proactively resolve delays or operational issues
- Maintain accurate records of loads, invoices, rate confirmations, and shipping documentation
- Assist with route planning, load optimization, and scheduling activities
- Support billing coordination and operational reporting
- Ensure compliance with DOT regulations, safety standards, and company procedures
- Provide excellent customer service and operational support
Requirements
- Previous experience in logistics, transportation, dispatching, or freight coordination preferred
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Attention to detail and strong problem-solving abilities
- Basic computer proficiency including Microsoft Excel, email communication, and logistics software
- Reliable and team-oriented attitude
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with DAT, Truckstop, TMS platforms, and ELD systems
- Experience working with trucking companies or freight brokers
- Knowledge of freight operations, routing, and dispatch procedures
- Familiarity with DOT compliance and transportation regulations
- Bilingual (English/Spanish or Russian) is a plus
