The Cargo Handler is responsible for loading and unloading freight on trailers in a safe and timely manner. Frequent lifting, pulling, pushing and carrying of freight is required. You must accurately stage and audit next day routes and perform other warehouse duties as assigned.
You will be responsible for loading and unloading freight on trucks and trailers and for safely using approved equipment to do so. Use of handheld scanners to efficiently track freight throughout our network is part of the job.
You will accurately stage and audit next day routes, correctly label boxes, prepare freight for shipment as required, verify documentation and condition of freight to assure quality standards are met, and accurately check-in and unload freight. When necessary you will recoup/restore damaged freight and ensure general warehouse duties such as cardboard, styrofoam, demanufacture, etc., are being completed.
You should be able to work well without direct supervision and maintain a positive, professional demeanor. Maintain a clean and safe work environment and perform other duties and tasks as assigned.
Pay: $17.26/hr
