Import / Export Agent - Global Freight Forwarder (35259)

A global freight forwarding company is seeking an Import / Export Coordinator to join their office in Jamaica, NY. 1~3+ years of working experience in the freight forwarding industry or work experience in customer service field preferred, a A.A. degree, and excellent computer skills (Excel, Word, Outlook). This is a full-time and direct hire position.

Import / Export Coordinator Duties

• :Coordinate international air, ocean, and ground freight shipment
• sArrange bookings with airlines, steamship lines, and trucking companie
• sPrepare and review shipping documentation (Commercial Invoice, Packing List, B/L, AWB
• )Manage AES filings and export documentatio
• nEnsure compliance with U.S. Customs regulations and export control requirement
• sCommunicate with customers regarding shipment status and documentation requirement
• sWork closely with customs brokers and overseas agent
• sMonitor cargo movement and resolve delays or discrepancie
• sMaintain accurate shipment records in TMS / ERP system
• sSupport government-related shipments in compliance with federal regulation

• gsUnderstanding of Incoterms and international shipping ter
