Position Overview
The Area Supply Chain Manager (ASCM) leads strategic supply chain projects, driving operational excellence, continuous improvement, and cost competitiveness across assigned spend categories. Working closely with Area Leadership, Strategic Sourcing Managers, Corporate Supply Chain Managers, and cross-functional teams, the ASCM ensures optimal supplier performance and compliance while delivering impactful results.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage supply chain projects from initiation to completion, including project planning, resource allocation, timeline management, and stakeholder engagement.
- Develop project plans with milestones and progress updates, while mitigating risks and implementing mitigation strategies.
- Build strong supplier relationships; perform performance reviews, provide feedback, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Establish and track KPIs, analyze data, and report on project outcomes and supplier performance to Area Leadership and Corporate Supply Chain Directors.
- Develop sourcing strategies for assigned spend categories, collaborate with Procurement and Strategic Sourcing teams, and drive cost reduction initiatives.
- Manage and mentor the area supply chain project manager, ensuring effective team performance and professional development.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, Project Management or a related field; or a High School Diploma/GED with 4 years of relevant work experience.
- Minimum of five years of relevant experience in supply chain management.
- Advanced proficiency in MS Office tools.
- Expertise in project management, financial analysis, purchasing, and supplier performance measurement.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and strategic sourcing abilities.
