Senior Paralegal Employment Type: Full-Time, Experienced Department: Legal Services CGS is seeking an experienced Senior Paralegal to provide professional litigation support for a large Federal agency initiative. Skills and attributes for success: Assist AUSAs conducting witness interviews and preparing a record of the interviews for use at deposition. Employees shall identify themselves as a contractor during phone and face-to-face interviews. Review title commitments for accuracy and create deed history summaries.
Prepare Declarations of Taking Reports, Amended Declarations of Taking (ADT) Reports, Complaints, Notices Joint Motions to Close, and Motions to Suppress, summarize depositions and other transcripts, maintain case files, and control exhibits and other materials at depositions and at trial for assigned cases. Document landowner complaints and responses in a monthly report.
Support and assist attorneys in the courtroom by preparing exhibit cross-references and screening documents for relevance and privilege according to established guidelines and criteria. Identify types of record keeping systems and types of records maintained which would be relevant. Gather, sort, and interpret data from various record systems including computer information systems.
Develop statistics and tabulations, such as standard deviations, regression analyses, and weighting, to provide leads and supportive data for case litigation. Prepare charts, graphs, and tables to illustrate results. Analyzes data, develops recommendations and justifications for the attorney(s) who will take the matter to court.
Design and develop systems and procedures for tracking, controlling, and managing case files, exhibits, and other case-specific materials. Other related duties as assigned and within scope
