Responsibilities
- Drive commercial trucks with a primary focus on ensuring road safety and operational efficiency.
- Before embarking on a trip and after finishing it, conduct thorough inspections to ensure the vehicle is fit for travel.
- Plan and optimize delivery routes to maximize efficiency and ensure punctual deliveries.
- Secure the transport of items by following the correct handling and packaging procedures.
- Keep up a transparent and regular exchange of information with both dispatchers and clients.
- Ensure accurate logging of work hours and perform routine vehicle maintenance inspections.
- Comply with the safety regulations and guidelines prescribed by the Department of Transportation (DOT).
- Uphold compliance standards by promptly reporting any vehicle-related issues, occurrences, or violations.
Qualifications
- Having a current Class A Commercial Driver鈥檚 License (CDL).
- Unblemished driving history devoid of major infractions.
- Fulfilling the DOT's prerequisites for physical health evaluations and drug screenings.
- Important qualities include strong time management and organizational skills.
- Expertise in the secure transportation and management of substantial or oversized items.
- Exceptional abilities in customer service with an emphasis on cultivating connections.
- A steadfast commitment to ensuring safety protocols are upheld and regulatory compliance is maintained, including the timely reporting of incidents.
Experience Levels Accepted
- CDL Trainees
- CDL School Graduates
- Participants in our structured 12-week training program for new commercial drivers, designed to accelerate skill development for drivers with experience ranging from three months to five years.
Preferred Experience
- Ability to operate diverse trailer types, including dry van, refrigerated, flatbed, and tanker trailers.
- Proficiency in various operational procedures across multiple units, combined vehicle systems, and diverse transportation modes.
- Mastery in overseeing household items and tailored shipments.
