higher college of technology is hiring a Adjunct Faculty – Computer Science Dubai in Dubai. This is a full-time position.

A college in the UAE needs a Faculty member to teach general subjects. This full time role focuses on second language learners. You will create a student centric learning environment. You must respect each student’s culture and traditions. You will also teach at least two specific areas of your discipline. In addition, you will participate in academic and extracurricular events on campus and in the community.

If you hold a PhD in a relevant discipline, this role suits you. Alternatively, a master degree with a professional certification and five years of teaching and industry experience also works. A bachelor degree with extensive industry experience may also qualify.

Key Responsibilities for Adjunct Faculty

• Use a practical, applied approach when teaching. Align your courses with the syllabus and program goals. Meet the needs and aspirations of students and the community.
• Develop and use educational technology resources. Ensure effective and innovative instruction methods. Apply strategies for second language learners. Give continuous feedback through tests, projects, assignments, and other tools.
• Take a student centered approach. Offer individual assistance to students. Solve student issues quickly by talking with the student, program supervisor, and other college personnel.
• Monitor student progress and support success. Evaluate students and update grades on time. Contribute to question banks and coursework assessments as requested.
• Serve as a student advisor when assigned. Provide recommendations on at risk action plans. Support and mentor students during internships and work placements.
• Ensure teaching facilities, equipment, and supplies stay in good working order. Prepare electronic Course Assessment Files and Course Assessment Reports for your courses. Handle at least one system wide course management task, including content, assessment, evaluation, and review.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of teaching, learning, assessment, and quality assurance. Follow the Program Continuous Improvement Framework. Participate in revising courses and curricula. Invigilate internal and external assessments as assigned. Finally, complete any other duties your supervisor assigns.

Qualifications

You need a PhD in a relevant discipline. A master degree with a professional certification and five years of teaching and industry experience also works. A bachelor degree may qualify if you have extensive industry experience and industry certification. Appropriate academic and professional qualifications are required. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
