Medical Assistant at Bowden Gastro Associates

• The Medical Assistant is responsible for greeting patients and delivering exceptional customer service assistance.
• This entails answering calls and fielding them accordingly, addressing patient questions and needs, and providing an overall welcoming environment.
• This person also performs ad hoc administrative duties as needed.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

• Managing procedure room(s) to ensure the rooms are prepped and ready for patients, including room turnovers, stocking supplies, cleaning, etc.
• Managing patient flow to/from procedure room(s), and assists with patient positioning for procedures
• Demonstrates the primary goal of efficiency, while providing services that exceed customer expectations, and improving clinical and financial operations
• Assists with patient care within the MA scope of practice
• Pulls case materials and stages in appropriate areas
• Understands principles of aseptic sterile technique and their implementation
• Ability to maintain quality, safety, and/or infection control standards
• Ability to adapt to change quickly

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED
• BLS required
• Medical Assistant, Certified Nurse Assistant or Patient Care Technician clinical training.
• One Year experience directly related to duties and responsibilities specified.
• Longevity in past roles
