- Subject Matter Expert, reporting to the CD/O2C
- Business Process Owner, this full-time and permanent position is based in Mumbai, India and offers regional coverage, allowing you to make a significant impact to our team and its’ growth.
Key responsibilities
- Collaborate with project managers and stakeholders to identify inefficiencies and improve project-related processes within SAP Project Systems and Order to Cashs Modules.
- Leverage SAP PS functionalities like time-sheeting, resource planning, budgeting, and revenue recognition to drive project success.
- Influence the localisation design requirements and implementation of SAP PS for Wave 2 and Wave 3 countries (40+ countries)
- Work closely with functional teams to ensure seamless integration of SAP PS with other modules such as Order To Cash, Record to Report, and SAP Analytics Cloud BI Reporting
- Act as the SAP Revenue and Data workstream SME for a specific set of markets, and responsible to drive quality across deliveries expected from markets
- Coordinate and support Local market SMEs that will actively participate and work on data collection for Client and Customer Project Data for all legal entities in scope and drive the migration into SAP. This includes Products and quality mapping to the new global product taxonomy.
- Agree and establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of the data collection
- Drive accountability on data quality/completeness and adherence to timeline
- Analyse project data and provide actionable recommendations to improve data quality that match expected outcomes.
- Partner with project managers, finance teams, and executives to drive quality and timeliness of data deliveries and testing activities related with Project .
- Actively participate in design workshops and discussions that will enable the definition of and implementation of SAP Revenue related data for Wave 2 and Wave 3 countries.
- Act as a liaison between business O2C/CD users and other SAP programme teams in such way that facilitates a smooth execution of programme activities.
- Always ensure adherence to the programme strategy and timelines and support actively the O2C/CD Business Process Owner, Revenue Optimization BPO, and the SAP Programme Director as required.
- Contribute to the scoping and development of a training programs for SAP Operations end-user to ensure they understand and can effectively use SAP for their day-to-day activities.
- Ensure knowledge transfer and create where necessary comprehensive documentation for SAP related data processes or SAP Operating Procedures.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and automation to increase efficiency
- Ensure adherence at all times of SAP best practices
- Ensure alignment of data to SAP Client Delivery and Order to Cash processes and to organizational policies and regulatory requirements.
- Identify risks in project workflows and propose mitigation strategies.
- Work with other Global Business Process & Data Owners and SMEs, in managing pro-actively business risks or issues where applicable
- Ensuring compliance with any local Legal, Regulatory and Fiscal requirements
- Act as a guardian of the SAP Global Template and provide support in the adoption of the Global template and standard processes.
- Regular stakeholder reporting
Key requirements
- Strong Finance + Billing background
- Good understanding of Work Packages / Billing Plans / Revenue flows
- strong Excel skills (data handling, reconciliation, templates usage) to support the high volume and ensure data quality)
- Hands-on experience with SAP (preferably S/4)
- Structured, detail-oriented, able to manage volume
- Strong coordination & follow-up skills
- Strong analytical, organisational, and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with internal teams and other stakeholders
- Experience in multi-country transformation / rollout
- Experience in similar role in similarly complex organisation
- SAP S4 Exposure, particularly on the Client Delivery and/or Order to Cash modules.
- Demonstrated academic and professional achievement, including a bachelor’s degree following and/or an accounting qualification
- A proven ability to orchestrate and coordinate with multiple teams to deliver against an agreed plan.
- Strong team management skills
- Able to juggle multiple initiatives and issues simultaneously, including shifting priorities and timelines
- Able to see the big picture – thinking strategically and long-term – but also to roll up one’s sleeves and get into the detail as required
- Strong analytical skills
- Attention to detail and high level of accuracy. This is particularly relevant for client data and customer project / pricing data collection activities that will be required for legal entities not yet setup in SAP S4.
- Ability to work under pressure and tight deadlines
- Committed to resolving problems; and to high quality deliverables in an expedient manner on the timelines agreed
