We are seeking a visionary Tech lead to join our leadership team and drive the technological foundation of Unblock. This is a senior-level position, offering equity and the opportunity to shape the company's future. As part of your responsibilities, you will lead all technical aspects of our platform, from development and infrastructure to innovation in tension care/ emotional wellness/ health tech.
The ideal candidate is a tech-savvy entrepreneur or a team leader, ready to collaborate closely with the founding team to build and scale a product that transforms emotional wellness access in India.
This role is based in Bangalore and involves a mix of strategic leadership, hands-on development, and team building.
Key Responsibilities· Technical Leadership and Strategy: Develop and execute the technology roadmap aligned with business goals, including platform scalability, security, and integration of features like real-time chat, voice calls, video calls, and AI-driven counseling tools.· Product Development: Oversee the design, development, and deployment of our mobile app (Android/iOS), web platform, and backend systems, ensuring compliance with data privacy regulations.· Team Building: Recruit, mentor, and lead a high-performing engineering team, fostering a culture of innovation and collaboration in a startup environment.· Innovation and R&D: Explore emerging technologies (e.g., AI for sentiment analysis, machine learning for user matching) to enhance wellness/ health services while maintaining ethical standards.· Infrastructure and Operations: Manage cloud infrastructure, DevOps practices, and integrations with tools like WhatsApp Business API, Google Workspace, and payment gateways.· Security and Compliance: Ensure robust data security, especially for sensitive health information, and lead compliance efforts for app publishing on platforms like Google Play Store and iOS.· Collaboration: Work closely with the CEO and other seniors in the company on fundraising, investor pitches, and business development, contributing technical insights to business plans and growth strategies.· Performance Optimization: Monitor system performance, user analytics, and feedback to iterate on features, with a focus on high availability for 24/7 counseling access.
Qualifications and Requirements· Experience: 8-10 years in software engineering or technical leadership, with experience in a B2C services-related app or health tech company. Prior experience as a CTO or tech lead in a startup or high-growth tech environment is highly preferred.·
