We are looking for a passionate and resourceful team player to join the Exhibitions and Public Programmes team.
This is a unique opportunity to support RIBA’s House of Architecture cultural output, by helping with the delivery and administration of a wide range of thought-provoking talks, events, and exhibitions related programmes,You will undertake a variety of administrative duties to support the Public Programmes team, including liaising with the marketing and content teams, other internal stakeholders, as well as with external partners and speakers, managing online ticketing, booking travel for speakers, taking notes and actions for meetings, as well as supporting evaluation of the programme.
You’ll attend the events, whether in London or elsewhere, helping ensure all runs smoothly.
What are we looking for? An energetic person with experience in a range of administrative duties within a cultural organisationOrganisational skills and methodical approach to work on several tasks simultaneously, and your ability to prioritise effectively.A good standard of written English, sound knowledge of Microsoft Office including Word, Excel and PowerPoint and solid communication skills.
Ideally, you’ll have an interest in architecture and/or cultural programming and a willingness to learn and develop in the role.
Ability to problem solve and work under pressure to meet deadlines, and willingness to work outside hours, including evenings as required.
Knowledge of and passion for architecture, both contemporary and historicLondon based role with occasional travel our office in RIBA North, and other locations depending on events.
What are we looking for? EssentialA demonstrable experience in public and cultural event programming.
Good administrative and organisational skills, with strong problem-solving and attention to detail.
Very good communication skills and customer service awareness, excellent interpersonal skills for working in a team.A flexible approach to working hours with ability to work evenings in support of eventsGood IT skills, with sound knowledge of Microsoft Office including Word, Excel and PowerPointDesirable Interest in and experience of testing the boundaries of existing public programmes format, to deliver innovative programmes, whether onsite, offsite, or online.
Knowledge of Safeguarding requirements and proceduresKnowledge of GDPR legal requirementsKnowledge of and passion for architecture, both contemporary and historic.
