Job Overview
We are seeking a highly organized and driven Construction Project Manager to oversee projects from pre-construction to closeout. You will be the central point of communication between contractors, material suppliers, and field staff, ensuring that every build is delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest safety standards.
The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment and possesses the technical expertise to navigate complex blueprints and building code regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Project Estimating & Planning: Define project scope, complete detailed material take-offs and all cost associated with the SOW. Develop material delivery & installation schedules and resolve any failures in such, in a timely manner.
- Financial Oversight: Manage project budgets, track costs, approve invoices, produce change orders and mitigate financial risks.
- Stakeholder Management: Serve as the primary contact for contractors, owners, architects, and engineers. Attend regular progress meetings and lead SOW specifics meetings.
- Subcontractor Coordination: Vet, hire, and manage SOW trade sub-contractors. Ensure all onsite work meets quality specifications and contract terms.
- Compliance & Safety: Ensure all projects adhere to local building codes, OSHA regulations, and environmental standards.
- Reporting: Prepare daily or weekly status reports regarding site progress, delays, and resource allocation.
Required Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent field experience).
- Field Experience: 5+ years of experience in construction project management, preferably in [Commercial/Industrial] sectors.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Procore, Bluebeam, or MS Project) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Communication: Exceptional negotiation skills and the ability to explain technical details to non-technical stakeholders.
Physical Requirements & Environment
- Ability to travel to various job sites.
- Comfortable navigating active construction sites, including climbing ladders and walking on uneven terrain.
- Standard office work for administrative and financial tasks.
