About the Research and Teaching Assistant role

The Research and Teaching Assistant – Psychology supports both teaching and research activities within the psychology programme at RIT Dubai, working closely with faculty members to enrich the student learning experience across courses.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist faculty in preparing and delivering lectures, labs and tutorials.
• Support the design and running of psychology experiments and studies.
• Collect, enter and analyse research data using statistical tools.
• Help prepare teaching materials, reading lists and assessments.
• Provide academic support and guidance to undergraduate students.
• Maintain accurate records of research data and student assessments.
• Contribute to literature reviews, reports and conference materials.
• Support laboratory safety and the upkeep of research equipment.
• Coordinate scheduling of study sessions and participant bookings.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Psychology or a closely related field.
• Practical experience with research methods and study design.
• Working knowledge of statistical software such as SPSS or R.
• Strong academic writing and clear data-presentation skills.
