Your new company We are working with a well-established and growing specialist joinery workshop delivering high-quality bespoke joinery packages across London and the South East.
Operating from a 10,000+ sq ft workshop facility, the business benefits from a fully equipped setup split across a machine shop, bench assembly area and dedicated spray shop. The workshop is home to a skilled team of over 12 employees, supporting the delivery of complex and high-end joinery projects.
Due to a sustained increase in turnover and workload, the business is now looking to appoint an additional Draughtsman to strengthen its design and operational capability.
- Your new role
- This is a hands-on and varied position, combining technical design with elements of project coordination and workshop support.
- Producing detailed 2D and 3D joinery drawings using Auto
- CAD and related software
- Preparing technical drawings, schematics and manufacturing details for bespoke joinery packages
- Liaising with architects, contractors and internal teams to develop and refine designs
- Reviewing and updating drawings in line with design changes and client requirements
- Supporting project delivery through coordination with the workshop and site teams
- Identifying design changes and understanding associated variations / cost implications
- Assisting with estimating and project support when required
- Providing technical input to ensure smooth production and installation
- Supporting the wider coordination and day-to-day running of projects within the workshop
- What you'll need to succeed
- Previous experience as a Draughtsman within joinery, shopfitting, or bespoke interiors
- Strong Auto
- CAD skills (experience with Cabinet Vision advantageous)
- Good understanding of joinery manufacturing processes
- Ability to interpret architectural drawings and produce detailed technical designs
- Strong communication skills to work with clients, architects and internal teams
- Commercial awareness, particularly around variations and cost implications
- Organised, detail-oriented approach with the ability to manage multiple projects
