Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with designers and studio teams to develop garments from concept to production, ensuring specifications are met.- Create and maintain tech packs, including garment construction, fabric choices, trims, and sizing.- Lead fit sessions, providing feedback on fit, quality, and construction, while aligning with brand standards.- Ensure product quality by working with manufacturers, conducting sample reviews, and garment inspections.- Liaise with suppliers, both locally and internationally, to manage relationships, negotiate costs, and ensure timely deliveries.- Problem solve any production issues, including fabric or construction concerns, ensuring a smooth workflow.- Ensure compliance with UK and international garment standards for fabric, safety, and labeling.
Ideal Candidate
- Experience: At least 3 years as a garment technologist in the fashion industry, with experience working with suppliers, retailers, or fashion brands.- Strong technical skills in garment construction, fabrics, and grading, with the ability to translate design sketches into production-ready garments.- Excellent attention to detail, especially in creating technical specs and conducting fit sessions.- Great communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with designers, buyers, and manufacturers.- Highly organised, with the ability to manage multiple projects and tight deadlines.
