About the Role We are seeking a highly skilled Java Solution Architect with deep expertise in modern application architecture, including cloud-native design, microservices, and DevSecOps practices. You will be responsible for architecting scalable, resilient, and observable enterprise systems using the Java ecosystem for our client's global customer base.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the architecture, design, and implementation of modern Java-based applications utilizing microservices and cloud-native patterns.
- Evaluate business requirements and translate them into robust architectural blueprints aligned with enterprise standards.
- Drive the adoption of best practices in scalability, performance, security, and observability across the entire application lifecycle.
- Provide architectural governance, technical leadership, and collaborative guidance to cross-functional teams (Developers, DevOps, QA, and Business Stakeholders).
- Define and implement API-first strategies utilizing REST, GraphQL, or event-driven patterns.
- Conduct architecture assessments, Proof of Concepts (PoCs), and technology evaluations for emerging initiatives.
- Guide development teams on containerization (Docker), orchestration (Kubernetes), and CI/CD pipeline optimization.
- Set up and manage comprehensive observability frameworks using tools like Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack, OpenTelemetry, Jaeger, Zipkin, or Dynatrace.
Must-Have Technical Expertise
- Core Java: Minimum 5+ years of dedicated experience with Java 11+, Spring Boot, and Microservices architecture.
- Cloud Platforms: Hands-on experience with at least one major cloud provider (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- Containerization & Orchestration: Deep expertise in Docker and orchestration tools (Kubernetes, ECS/EKS, AKS, or GKE).
- API & Messaging: Strong understanding of API Gateways, RESTful APIs, GraphQL, gRPC, and asynchronous messaging systems (Kafka, RabbitMQ).
- Service Mesh: Familiarity with service mesh technologies such as Istio or Linkerd.
- Database & Data Modeling: Exposure to NoSQL (MongoDB, Cassandra), SQL databases, and data modeling for distributed systems.
- DevOps Toolchains: Proven experience with CI/CD and Infrastructure as Code tools (Jenkins, GitOps, ArgoCD, Terraform, etc.).
- Observability: Strong command over logging, tracing, and metrics collection to ensure system resilience and scalability.
