We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Developer – Python to join our AI Solutions team focused on building scalable and intelligent systems in the Electrification domain. This role combines strong backend engineering expertise with exposure to AI/ML and Generative AI technologies.
You will work closely with AI/ML engineers, data scientists, cloud architects, and product teams to design, develop, and deploy high-performance backend systems and AI-powered applications. The ideal candidate should possess strong Python programming fundamentals, backend API development experience, understanding of data pipelines, and practical exposureto AI/ML integration.
Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend applications and RESTful APIs using
- Python frameworks such as Fast
- API, Flask, or Django.

- Write clean, reusable, maintainable, and testable Python code following OOPprinciples, SOLID principles, and design patterns.

- Collaborate with AI/ML teams to integrate Machine Learning, Deep Learning, and
- Generative AI models into production systems.

- Develop and manage APIs for AI/ML model serving and inference workflows.

- Build and support ETL/data processing pipelines involving extraction, transformation,and loading of large datasets.

- Work with NumPy, Pandas, and SQL-based systems for data processing and analyticstasks.

- AI-based solutions involving concepts such as:o Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG)o Vectorization and embeddingso Vector databaseso LLM integration workflows

- Participate in architecture and system design discussions to ensure scalability,reliability, and performance optimization.

- Implement CI/CD pipelines and follow DevOps best practices for automateddeployment and monitoring.

- Design systems with observability in mind using structured logging, monitoring, alerting,and tracing tools.

- Optimize backend systems for performance, concurrency, reliability, and scalability.

- Participate in code reviews, debugging, troubleshooting, and mentoring junior engineerswhen required.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or relatedfield.
- 6+ years of hands-on software development experience using Python.
- Strong understanding of:o Object-Oriented Programming (OOP)o Data Structures & Algorithmso SOLID principleso Design patterns
- Strong coding and problem-solving skills in Python.
- Experience with backend frameworks such as FastAPI, Flask, or Django.
- Strong understanding of REST API development and microservices architecture.
- Practical experience with:o NumPyo Pandaso SQL
- Good understanding of ETL workflows and data lifecycle management.
- Exposure to AI/ML model integration and deployment workflows.
- Basic understanding of Generative AI concepts including:o RAG pipelineso Embeddings/vectorizationo Vector databaseso LLM application workflows
- Experience with Docker, Git, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Understanding of cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Exposure to MLOps practices and model monitoring.
- Experience with cloud AI services such as:o AWS SageMakero AWS Bedrocko Azure ML Studioo Azure OpenAI Service
- Experience with observability and monitoring tools such as:o Prometheuso Grafanao ELK Stacko OpenTelemetry
- Experience building scalable and high-performance backend systems.
- Familiarity with LangChain, FAISS, ChromaDB, or similar GenAI frameworks/tools.
- Experience in Rust is a strong plus.
- Exposure to data engineering concepts and large-scale data processing.
- Background or interest in the Power & Energy domain is an added advantage.
