Role Purpose
The Document Controller is responsible for managing, controlling, tracking, and maintaining all project-related documents within the Operations Department. The role ensures that engineering, technical, commercial, QA/QC, HSE, procurement, and project correspondence documents are properly controlled, distributed, archived, and readily accessible throughout the project lifecycle. Key Accountabilities
- Maintain and update project document control systems and registers.
- Manage the receipt, distribution, tracking, and filing of all project documents.
- Control revisions and ensure the latest approved documents are available to project teams.
- Prepare and issue transmittals, correspondence, and document status reports.
- Coordinate with project teams, consultants, clients, and subcontractors regarding document submissions and approvals.
- Maintain records of shop drawings, material submittals, RFIs, method statements, inspection requests, and as-built documents.
- Monitor document approval status and follow up on outstanding submissions.
- Ensure compliance with company procedures, client requirements, and document control standards.
- Support project close-out activities by compiling and archiving final project documentation.
- Ensure confidentiality, accuracy, and accessibility of all project records. Qualifications, Experience, Knowledge & Skills Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field 3–6 years of experience in plumbing works within construction / MEP projects Prior experience in UAE projects is preferred Familiarity with UAE authority requirements (DM, DEWA, ADDC, etc.).
