Feature Film Editor, Deferred Pay, NOLA

Hey NOLA filmmaking community, we're looking for a talented editor for an independent feature film. It's a suspenseful dark comedy, think something along the lines of 'Fargo' meets 'Get Out,' with a strong visual style and sharp dialogue. We wrapped principal photography last month and have some truly fantastic footage we're excited to assemble.

Your key responsibilities will involve ingesting footage, creating initial cuts, collaborating with the director on creative direction, and managing post-production workflow, including sound and color passes. We're looking for someone who can really find the rhythm and pacing of the story.

While we'd love to see a reel, we're open to all experience levels, especially if you have a strong eye for storytelling and a great attitude. You'll need to provide your own editing suite and software, but we'll cover any specific plugins or stock elements needed for the project. This is a passion project for a small production company, so compensation is deferred, with a backend percentage offered.

We anticipate roughly 8-12 weeks of editing, with flexible hours. We're a supportive team and excited to bring this film to life. Looking forward to seeing your work!
