QA Analyst / Contract

A growing technology-driven distribution company based in Chicago is seeking a QA Analyst to support its expanding suite of web applications. This organization operates at scale across North America and is known for leveraging modern technology to power its operations, customer experience, and logistics platforms.

The role will focus heavily on manual testing and quality assurance for customer-facing and internal web systems.

This opportunity is open to remote candidates and will start as a six month contract. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys hands-on testing and wants to play a visible role in product quality. The team is highly collaborative, operating in an Agile environment where QA partners closely with engineering and product teams.

The organization is continuing to evolve its QA practices, offering strong opportunities for growth into automation, tooling, and broader quality strategy initiatives.

Required Skills And Experience

• 2 to 5 years of experience in QA or software testing
• Strong experience with manual testing for web applications
• Solid understanding of testing methodologies including functional and regression testing
• Experience with defect tracking and test case management tools such as Azure DevOps or similar
• Ability to work in Agile or Scrum environments
• Strong attention to detail and communication skills

Desired Skills And Experience

• Exposure to automation tools such as Selenium or Playwright
• Experience with API testing using tools like Postman
• Familiarity with performance testing concepts or tools
• Understanding of CI CD pipelines and version control systems like Git
• QA certifications such as ISTQB

• 80% Web application testing
• 20% Tools and environments including Azure DevOps and automation exposure

Daily Responsibilities

• 70% Hands On testing and execution
• 10% Test planning and documentation
• 20% Team collaboration with engineering and product
