Part-Time Freight Specialist

Summary

As a Part-Time Freight Specialist, you'll play a vital role in ensuring we deliver an exceptional shopping experience for our Guests. This position focuses on a range of operational responsibilities assigned by store management, including receiving and unpacking shipments, organizing the backroom, and maintaining store cleanliness.

Compensation & Benefits

• Pay range: $16.90-$18/hr

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

You should be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily, which may include:

• Verifying merchandise invoices against received items to ensure accuracy.
• Shipping alterations, layaways, or special orders to Guests via FedEx.
• Double-checking freight and transfer slips for correctness.
• Preparing items for shipment, ensuring they are presented well when unpacked.

Visual Merchandise Management: Responsibilities may include

• Removing packaging materials from incoming merchandise.
• Tagging clothing items appropriately.
• Organizing and prepping merchandise for the sales floor, including steaming items as necessary.

Operations: You must be able to

• Work a flexible schedule including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holiday periods.
• Understand and navigate Point of Sale (POS) software.
• Receive and process freight through the register efficiently.
• Maintain organized shipment-related paperwork and keep supplies stocked.
• Report any security concerns or policy violations promptly.
• Contribute to a clean and organized work environment.

Supervisory Responsibilities: This position does not include any supervisory tasks.

Education and Experience

No prior experience or training is required.

Additional Requirements: Candidates must be at least 18 years old due to the nature of the job.
