Overview
Bristol Freight Carriers LLC. is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Freight Logistics Coordinator to support daily transportation and logistics operations. In this role, you will coordinate shipments, communicate with carriers and customers, and ensure freight is delivered efficiently and on time.
This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced trucking environment and has strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate and dispatch freight shipments using transportation management systems (TMS) and load boards
- Communicate with drivers, brokers, shippers, and customers regarding shipment schedules and updates
- Track freight movements and proactively resolve delays or operational issues
- Maintain accurate records of loads, invoices, rate confirmations, and shipping documentation
- Assist with route planning, scheduling, and operational coordination
- Support billing processes and operational reporting
- Ensure compliance with DOT regulations, safety standards, and company policies
- Provide excellent customer service and daily logistics support
Requirements
- Previous experience in logistics, transportation, dispatching, or freight coordination preferred
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Attention to detail and strong problem-solving abilities
- Basic computer proficiency including Microsoft Excel, email communication, and logistics software
- Reliable and team-oriented work ethic
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with DAT, Truckstop, TMS platforms, and ELD systems
- Experience working with trucking companies or freight brokers
- Knowledge of freight operations, routing, and dispatch procedures
- Familiarity with DOT compliance and transportation regulations
- Bilingual (English/Spanish or Russian) is a plus
