Supply Chain Coordinator

Fastenal is looking for enthusiastic and detail-driven individuals to join its supply chain team. As a Supply Chain Coordinator, you will play a vital role in supporting inventory control, procurement, and sourcing activities that drive successful business-to-business operations.

Role and Responsibilities

In this role, you will help ensure the seamless management of inventory and purchasing operations while coordinating essential resources to meet customer expectations. Key responsibilities include:

• Oversee and maintain accurate branch inventory levels.
• Execute procurement tasks such as purchase order management and handling backorders.
• Prepare product quotes, estimate pricing, and identify suitable suppliers.
• Coordinate resources to address customer supply chain requirements efficiently.
• Assist with accounts receivable and related administrative activities.
• Operate company vehicles to make deliveries as needed.
• Perform additional duties that contribute to branch performance and success.

Required Skills and Experience

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to meet company driving standards.
• Currently pursuing or holding a degree in Business, Supply Chain, Operations, Management, Marketing, Sales, or a related discipline; or possess relevant customer service or industry experience.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency with computers and related software applications.
• Highly motivated, self-directed, and focused on delivering excellent customer service.
• Demonstrated aptitude in mathematics, attention to detail, and urgency in task completion.
• Exceptional organizational, planning, and time-management abilities.
• Effective problem-solving and decision-making capabilities using sound reasoning.
• Commitment to Fastenal’s principles of ambition, innovation, integrity, and teamwork.
• Ability to lift, carry, slide, and lower packages weighing 25–50 lbs., occasionally up to 75 lbs.
• Successful completion of required drug screening (where applicable).
• Ability to pass any background checks required by the customers or contracts supported by this branch.

Compensation and Benefits

• Part-time position with a schedule of up to 28 hours per week.
• Hourly pay range: $16 to $21.
• 401(k) plan with company contribution.
